Data Corrections & Removal

Every carrier profile on CarrierPedia is generated from public FMCSA datasets, refreshed on the cadence listed on our Data Sources page. If something on a carrier page looks wrong, there are two separate things that can be true, and they need two different fixes.

If the underlying FMCSA record is wrong

CarrierPedia does not create or control FMCSA data — we mirror it. If your MCS-150 filing, address, fleet size, or authority status is incorrect at the source, we cannot fix that on our end; the correction has to happen with FMCSA directly, through their DataQs system:

https://dataqs.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Once FMCSA processes a DataQs correction, it will appear in the source dataset on FMCSA's own schedule, and our next scheduled pipeline refresh will pick it up automatically — no need to contact us separately for that part.

If our page doesn't reflect the current FMCSA record

Every dataset we use refreshes on a fixed cadence (daily or monthly, depending on the dataset — see Data Sources). If you believe a page is out of date relative to what FMCSA currently publishes, or you've spotted a bug in how we computed a derived figure (crash rate, percentile, out-of-service rate, etc.), email us at data@carrierpedia.com with the USDOT number and a description of what looks wrong. Include a link to the FMCSA source record if you have one — it speeds up verification. We respond to correction requests within five business days.

Requesting removal of a page

A carrier's page exists on CarrierPedia only while FMCSA lists that carrier as active and publishes enough data about it to support the page. If a carrier has ceased operations and its FMCSA status has changed accordingly, our next refresh will remove or update the page automatically. If you operate a carrier and have a specific concern about your listing that isn't covered by the above, email data@carrierpedia.com and we will respond directly, within five business days.

What we will never do

We do not publish phone numbers, fax numbers, cell phone numbers, or company officer names, even though some of these fields exist in the source FMCSA data — see Privacy. There is nothing to remove on that front because it was never published in the first place.
