Terms of Use
By using CarrierPedia, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.
Informational use only
All data on CarrierPedia is derived from public datasets published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) — see Data Sources for the full list. It is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for the official FMCSA record, a background check, an insurance verification, or any other due-diligence process required before entering into a business relationship with a carrier.
No warranty of accuracy or timeliness
Source datasets refresh on the cadence shown on our Data Sources page (daily or monthly, depending on the dataset). Between refreshes, a carrier's actual FMCSA status may differ from what is shown here. We make no warranty, express or implied, that any figure on this site is complete, accurate, or current. Where we compute a derived statistic (a percentile, a rate, a comparison to a national or state median), it is calculated from the FMCSA data available to us at the time of the most recent refresh, and is disclosed as such next to the figure.
Not a business decision on its own
Do not rely solely on information from this site to make a business decision — such as whether to hire a carrier, extend credit, or enter a contract — without independently verifying the relevant facts, including through FMCSA's own systems (SAFER, the SMS website) and, where appropriate, direct contact with the carrier or its insurer.
Not a consumer report
CarrierPedia is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., and nothing published on this site is a consumer report or an investigative consumer report under that Act. The information here describes commercial motor carriers and is published for informational purposes only. It may not be used, in whole or in part, to establish any person's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, tenancy, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. We do not verify the underlying government data against the accuracy standards the FCRA imposes on consumer reporting agencies, and we do not operate the dispute procedures that Act requires. If you need information for an FCRA-covered purpose, obtain it from a consumer reporting agency that complies with the FCRA.
Crash records do not establish fault
Crash entries shown on carrier profiles come from the FMCSA Crash File, which records that a commercial vehicle registered to a carrier was involved in a reportable crash. That dataset does not assign fault and does not determine preventability. A crash caused entirely by another road user appears in it on the same terms as one caused by the carrier's own driver. Nothing on this site should be read as a statement that a carrier caused, or was at fault in, any crash listed.
No affiliation with FMCSA
CarrierPedia is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or any government agency.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarrierPedia and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information published on this site, including decisions made based on carrier safety, authority, or insurance data shown here.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
